The Lady and the Chocolate

By Edward Monkton

Some might argue this isn't really a proper book and I shouldn't devote a whole page to a review of it but I would like to disagree.

Edward Monkton has such a profound insight into the female mind, it is incredible. The words make me laugh out loud, the way my daughter, Lydia, reads it convinces me of the truth in it. There is nothing wrong with indulging oneself into the lovely simpleness of the book, the wonderful pictures and enjoyable story.

The plot: The lady and the Chocolate meet. With it's persuasive qualities, the chocolate tempts the lady. It speaks to her but the lady is strong. She knows that the chocolate does evil things to her body and she resists it. The chocolate continues to tempt, with beautiful words and delicious persuasion. The lady is strong. The lady is kind, which leads to her downfall.

Well, Lydia and I enjoy the book!
