Simone and I are both Christians. Simone became a Christian at the age of nine and remembers going to her Dad asking to be baptised. Upon his asking why she wanted to be baptised she replied, "Because I love Jesus".
I can't remember a single moment when I became a Christian, but I hold by the old addage 'I can't remember the day that I was born, but I know that I'm alive'. My mum always used to say that she remembered me sitting on top of the washing machine in the kitchen of our home in Leeds aged four and asking Jesus to forgive my sins and be my friend.

But why is all this important?

Simone and I believe that a relationship with God is the best thing anyone can have. People try to fill their lives with all kinds of stuff and excuse that using whatever philosophy of life suits their choices. However, Jesus said that He came so that we "can have real and eternal life, more and better life than [we'd] ever dreamed of".
